Can I add my own documents and equipment manuals?

Yes. Add PDFs, text files and Markdown notes. Search their text and ask your AI about them. Scanned PDFs need OCR first.

Will it work without internet?

First setup needs internet. Downloaded references, search, planning tools and your local AI model stay on your Mac. Live updates need a connection.

Does the AI use Apple’s GPU?

Yes. Native AI uses Apple Silicon GPU acceleration. FieldKit recommends a model for your Mac’s memory.

Does it include the whole internet or Wikipedia?

Start with 52 references in 10 packs. Add your own documents and notes. Optional English Wikipedia is a 52.7 GB download with its own reader; it is separate from AI search.

Can it replace training or professional judgment?

No. AI can be wrong. Check the original source and practice the skills you need.

Is this Project NOMAD?

No. FieldKit is an independent Mac app, not affiliated with Project NOMAD or source publishers.
